Francis W. Purvey Director of Sales & Marketing, Radisson Aruba Resort Casino & Spa organized a fraternity reunion for some of his friends on the island.
They hailed from as far as Seattle and New York, yet they all congregated at the Plaza Club for cocktails, on the eighth floor of the Aruba tower, at sunset on Saturday.
Francis reported the weekend was action-packed and included elegant dinner at the resort’s AAA 4-star rated Sunset Grille, a shake & bake Jeep Safari and a Happy Hour Sunset Sail.
The Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity brothers went to school in Troy NY and graduated the Rensselear Polytechnic Institute, the oldest technological university in the US.
They see each other often, but “not often enough,” and the extended weekend in Aruba was a great source of joy, true to William Shakespeare’s poetic view of friendship: “But if the while I think on thee, dear friend, all losses are restored and sorrows end.”
