First MLB alumni baseball camp in Aruba

Major League Baseball, an exclusive club, many island boys dream to join. MLB stands for the highest level of professional baseball in the U.S., and it operates two leagues, the National League, and the American League.

On July 25th, 26th and 27th, special events unfold on the island, admission is free.

Local players who made it big, will share their experience. They are Calvin Maduro, Sydney Ponson, Wladimir ‘Coco’ Balentin, Andrelton Simmons and Brady Anderson.

Players, coaches, and parents are invited.

On the program

Ages 6 to 13, July 25th, from 6pm to 9pm, Stadium Nadi Croes/Crismo Angela

Ages 13 to 17, July 26th, from 6pm to 9pm, John Laveist ballpark

Workshop, July 27th, 1pm to 4pm, Eagle Resort ballroom, with sports psychologist Dr. Omar Figaroa, adults only.

Attending the MLB baseball alumni summer camp can be exciting and enriching for young players of all ages and skill levels. The program will touch on skill development, teamwork and sportsmanship, fitness, the importance of coaches, and the fun in practicing a sport kids are passionate about.

The MLB baseball alumni summer camp will run for a few hours, and players are reminded to bring their gear, water bottler, sunscreen, hat, an extra shirt perhaps, and be prepared to deal with some scratches.
