Fantastic Album Release at Mr. Jazz

Henny Groot Antink & guitarist Martin Buitenweg

A new album called “Time” by duo Close Call, made up of singer Henny Groot Antink & guitarist Martin Buitenweg, debuted at Mr. Jazz, Paseo Herencia this weekend.

The two musicians met in 2005 and started playing around the island hotels and restaurants.

They were received with great enthusiasm and over time decided since their musical tastes were similar to collaborate on a new album written and composed by them.

The musical collaboration conceived a fantastic CD which was introduced for the first time this weekend. To listen to some audio and look at video samples you may visit:

The singer and the guitarist report they took their time to perfect the music and even tried a few tunes out in front of a live audience at the Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival in September.

The music was well received which pushed them to conclude the release of the CD.

Henny & Martin played ten songs at Mr. Jazz at their debut party backed by a great band with 8 musicians such as Jeremy Bonarriba, drums, Erik Eman, bass, Angelo Kock, piano and synth, Ricky Hernandez, percussion, and vocalists  Mirugia de Cuba and Lucre Houtman.

The CD was recorded and mixed at Earthwalk Studios Aruba.
