The Palm Beach Plaza now under construction on the boulevard just below the Marriott Surf Club has been a dream in the making since 2007, when 15.000 m2 of fine dining, shopping and entertainment began construction.
“The complex,” says Mall Manager Alex Otterspeer, “is the largest mall in the Southern Caribbean; it was conceived as an all-day family entertainment center offering an abundance of activities to vacationers and locals, of all ages.”
Created by Landy NV, with managing director Muller Solognier, as a partnership of three well-established local developers, the multi-level mall attracted a great number of prestigious tenants who are all excited about moving into the heart of Palm Beach, within walking distance to all high-rise resorts.
Renowned jewelry store, Shivas Gold & Gems will occupy an elegant space on the lower level; Benetton, San Marina Shoes, Sunspecs, Tommy Hilfiger and Guess, have all picked their desired setting, as well as The Athlete’s Foot, Penha Perfumeries, Panache Swimwear, the Shoe Box and famous Latin designer Jon Sonen, who is opening a stylish concept store for men’s fashion, on the second level.
Also on the second level, a luxurious 8 movie theater Mega Plex, with a state of the art design.
The mall’s third level will be home to Aruba’s first food court featuring a collection of global cuisine offerings right next to an area entirely dedicated to kids.
The children’s entertainment space will feature a Kiddie-Train, a Rock Climbing wall, a Bowling Alley, an electronic game zone and a thrilling Cable Slide, next to an indoor supervised play room.
With their kids entertained parents will be able to enjoy diverse services such as a Day Spa, or a business visit to the Western Union branch or Post-Office location, or even a stroll to the mall’s well-stocked Mini-Market.
The restaurants checking into the Palm Beach mall will offer a great range of specialties. Cas Tua is developing an ambitious Mediterranean eatery on the second level, with outdoor and indoor seating, adjacent to the Mega Plex.
Much-loved local eatery La Terazza, will also reinvent itself on that second level with a sky walk, overlooking the green hills of Noord and Alto Vista.
A Miami sushi bar, Hoshi Sushi, as well as Mama Mexico, will tempt shoppers with their creative menus, all with indoor and outdoors dining options.
The unique mall design invites Aruba’s famed trade winds in, and the extensive use of glass windows situates the Palm Beach Mall into the local landscape, allowing an open, airy, sense of space that is unconfined and very inviting.
Additionally, the Palm Beach Mall will offer 354 easily accessible, ground level parking spaces, and nicely lit walking lanes to and from the hotel strip.
Indra Stamper, coordinating the promotions for the complex reports that the mix of 60 classy tenants, will deliver the most variety during extended opening hours, making the Palm Beach Plaza a much-anticipated, premier destinations prepared to serve locals and visitors, by the late Summer.
Ash Ramchandani states on behalf of Landy NV that with a fifty million florin investment the Palm Beach Mall represents the first phase of development with a hotel, condo and spa property coming next door, on the adjacent 15,000 m2, sometimes in the future, having already began the aesthetic conceptualization of the site plans.
