Oranjestad — A charming boutique opening on Friday evening, at the Orange Plaza, introduced Emeralda Boutique Everyday Chic Women’s Clothing and Accessories to the general public.
The fashion store promotes daily dressing and is the creation of Lalita Brongersma and her team.
In her opening remarks just before the festive ribbon cutting Lalita revealed she always wanted to be in fashion and now that her kids are grown, she can devote time to the realization of her dream.
The opening of an affordable fashion boutique, she says, showcases her connections in the fashion world and she promises to deliver great styles, at great prices.
Lalita also shared her own philosophy regarding fashion by encouraging every women to try the store garments on, and see for themselves how lovely the fabric falls and how well the clothes complement their natural shape and personality.
The party was nicely catered by the neighboring cafe, Shon Gecko, with tasty snacks and Pega Pega Merlot, a wine bottled in Aruba.
Lalita also prepared a small fashion show in honor of her guests, with very tastefully dressed models, showing off some of the styles available, and their matching accessories.
The models walked the small runway in short and long dresses in the latest fashion colors and design, while invited guests snapped pictures, impatiently waiting for their turn to browse the first collection.
Emeralda Boutique is open every day, Monday from 2pm to 8pm, Wednesday from 10am to 2pm, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 10am to 8pm. Sunday closed.
