Management and staff members of ECO DMS, a full service destination management company dedicated to the meetings & incentives market, organized its own beach and road clean-up on Saturday, giving a clean sweep to the beachfront from the Marriott Aruba Resort to Tierra del Sol, covering the public waterfront and surrounding areas on the boulevard.
It was a joint effort of company associates, which view their corporate responsibility as an obligation, and uphold green principles in their every-day practices.
ECO DMS continuously supports the efforts of the hotels and the Aruba Hotel & Tourism Association in keeping Aruba clean and raising awareness regarding the subject of sustainable tourism.
The ECO DMS crew reports they were able to collect significant amounts of plastic cups, take-out Styrofoam boxes and cigarette butts, left behind by beachgoers, which seemed to be the biggest culprits. They are seen here in our pictures, apparently having fun too, as they participate in the clean up readying the island for SITE International Conference 2009, titled Business without Boundaries, unfolding here Thursday to Sunday, at the Westin Aruba Resort and the Radisson Aruba Resort Casino & Spa as host hotels.
