E-Aruba Business Seminar

I wrote about an E-Aruba Business Seminar organized by Mark Benson, for the first time, in 2014. I complimented the interesting speakers, relevant topics and organization in general. I finished my blub promising that in the following year a networking hour will be added. There were many e-marketing specialists here, and I wanted the opportunity to meet them all.

Then for the third edition in 2018, the Renaissance Convention Center was packed with 700 ticket holders. It was a bigger and better e-business seminar, with renowned international speakers.

While the previous editions were organized by Mark Benson Denz solo, Infinity Media, that year he teamed up with Diederik Kemmerling, the Lab, considered Aruba’s supreme social media marketing guru. By joining forces, they attracted major sponsors such as Aruba Bank and Digicel, and guaranteed an excellent program for the day.

We were buzzing about the introduction of local start-ups, and e-commerce. Stefan Oostervall disussed cryptocurrencies, systems which promised to decentralized the control of banks.

It was all super exciting.

The fourth round of E-Aruba Business Seminar unfolded in June, 2019. They reduced the ticket price for students that year, and attracted many young attendees.

Invited international speakers discussed Social Media & Digital Marketing, Marketing Trends, Influencer & Video Marketing, Entrepreneurship Innovation, and many more challenges which those in the marketing arena wrestle with every day.

The program also included panels and Q&A sessions. By then, organizers Mark Benson, and Diederik Kemmerling were experienced event hosts and attracted big names to Aruba, with impressive pedigrees, Google, YouTube, Facebook, all media demi-gods, and celebrities.

We walked away with important industry insights and inspirations for new concepts and interesting business success stories to light up our future, and guarantee our long-lasting learning.

We could never have guessed that in November, that year, a virus would transition from a bat to a human, placing our lives and hold, and postponing the 5th edition of the E-Aruba Business Seminar to June 11th, 2022.

(A webinar in 2020 was a satisfying event, but not as much as a live one.)
