This past week the atelier of local artist Eefje van der Straten-van Twillert was host to a series of sold-out classes on finepainting in oil, given by visiting Dutch artist, Cobie Sipkema – van Gremberghen.
Cobie is from Almelo, in the Netherlands, and regularly shows her work in her home country, where she has wond several prestigious awards. Besides flowers, fruit, seascapes and shells, she also paints icons and in the last years her interests have focused on painting old ornaments from the Chinese culture. Photos show the successful classes as well as some of Cobie’s unique paintings.
