Who knew that an active Aruban citizen with a heart devoted to his family, work and community, a volunteer, professional social worker and educator, striving to make positive changes for the betterment of everyone’s lives, according to LinkedIn, could come up with such nonsense?
Such empty, half-truths, borrowed, we don’t want to say plagiarized, from a colleague’s FB declarations?
I totally get it when the MinFic reports half-truths, it’s her job, but a member of parliament, new in politics, #18 on the MEP list, who ordinarily keeps quiet, why would he opt to speak up now, when the statements he makes are obviously not truthful?
#18, apparently wants to play with the bigwigs, the heavyweights, he wants to be heard, he came out of seclusion gushing that the new fiscal plan will be helpful to ordinary people and the business community. What a cockamamie statement.
He then went on to repeat, almost word for word what MinFic has been posting, that the new fiscal plan will help us progress economically, and increase our buying power.
That’s a joke, any kids knows that—even a frio now costs Awg 5; it was Awg 4, just yesterday.
#18 didn’t choke when he put on paper that we will now have more money left after taxes; he did not fumble when he said we will pay less. He concluded his hogwash praising the EWC cabinet for stimulating our economy on a grand scale.
The only thing on a grand scale here is the audacity. The presumption that we will read the stuff and believe it.
In his last job, he worked at the University of Aruba as a Professional & Society Practice Coordinator. Which obviously prepared him for profound economic statements.
In the good old day, when you had nothing to say that was fresh and original and/or though-provoking you remained quiet.
And he did not even shave decently for the picture attached to the press release, in Trempan!
(Ministerial half-truths? In a recent FB post, our minister was happy to report that BBO hasn’t gone up in a long time – she must have forgotten that BAZV and BAVP, now complement BBO. Those have been added in recent years. So, it’s true, while BBO did not increase, it had pesky kids.)
