An informal ceremony at the Aruba Tourism Authority headquarters in Oranjestad honored Michael Marsh and Jeff Pinkerton as Distinguished Visitors.
Michael & Jeff, both from Holland, Ohio, have been coming to the island for the past 12 years, always around Thanksgiving week, and staying each year at a different hotel property. While in Aruba they enjoy driving around the island and discovering new beaches, restaurant, bars and friends, feeling more and more like locals everywhere they go. This year, Lulu, a three and a half pound Yorkie joined them on their Aruba adventure. She has a different Aruba tee-shirt for every day of the week, Michael explains.
Blue sky and blue waters are Michael and Jeff’s two top reasons for returning to the island, blue diamonds too, and Marisela, Aruba’s favorite singer which they follow Wednesdays to the South Beach Lounge and Fridays to Garufa Ultra Lounge.
Keep coming back, says Ricardo Croes, the Aruba Tourism Authority official, we will name you Goodwill Ambassador in just eight more years; we thank you for your loyalty to Aruba and its people and we are grateful for all your visits and the excellent promotion of the island in Ohio, your home state!
