Deloitte Hosts a Social Mixer at Tierra del Sol

Oranjestad — Deloitte Dutch Caribbean entertained distinguished clients, guests and colleagues at a business event just recently, marking the successful conclusion of its fiscal year. The gardens and pool area at Tierra del Sol Golf Course and Country Club, served as backdrop for a much-enjoyed client-appreciation cocktail party with Audit, Consulting, Enterprise Risk Services, Financial Consulting and Tax experts, greetings and meeting guests.
In his short welcome address partner Michael Leo van Romondt thanked his invitees for taking the time and attending the party. Deloitte Dutch Caribbean has been changing its direction and focus, he said, to become a broader service-organization, where the focus is on becoming trusted business partners to clients, on as many business levels, as possible
Deloitte experienced a successful 2014/2015 fiscal year, he stated, with an increased presence in the Aruba landscape, and growing its market-share above expectations, thanks to the positive contributions of a team of professionals and a smooth collaboration with Deloitte Netherlands, which adds value and quality to Deloitte’s local products.
Just like the island of Aruba, van Romondt continued, Deloitte Dutch Caribbean as a service driven business, depends on its people, and considers its human capital, most important. As he looks forward to a challenging year for the Aruban economy, with many unanswered questions regarding the measures to be taken in order to get the island’s public finance in order, he shares the uncertainty in the public and acknowledges the many challenges clients will have to deal with in the near future.
But, challenging times, as you know, he reiterated, bring out the best in people and with creativity and outside the box thinking, a lot may be achieved.
As areas of growth for Deloitte Dutch Caribbean, van Romondt introduced Maghalie Bunt, a leading expert and a partner specializing in Human Capital topics and stated that for Cyber Security, Deloitte is pleased to be the leader in the market, with the company’s expert enterprise risk team, busy, helping keep a cyber secure Aruba.
The informal party under the stars was nicely catered by Tierra del Sol’s banqueting team, with bottomless cocktails and butler passed hors d’oeuvres while the Bamboo band provided excellent live music. Many of the pictures taken at the party may be viewed on the company’s social media pages.
