The Clown Doctors and their friends the Disney characters marched at the head of the parade on Sunday as the Clown Doctor’s second annual Flora Market’s Caminata unfolded at sunset.
The route took the parade of young and old, all with red noses, from Flora Market on Avenida Milo Croes, through Wilhelminastraat to the Daniel Leo’s square and back to Flora Market via the main street.
Sponsored by Flora Market, Romar Trading and Magic 96.5 FM, in collaboration with the island’s sport’s authority IDEFRE, the walk was also nicely supported by Kukoo Cunucu/Aruba Adventures, Disney Creations, ECA Advertising, TeleAruba,
Flora Market’s representative Arjo reports that through the clowns, a large portion of the Aruban community is reached, which contributed to his decision to choose the Clown Doctors as Flora Market’s anniversary charity recipient. The clowns visit the ailing kids in the hospital’s Children Ward, and also weekly come to entertain the students of Bibito Pin, Dunun Man, Casa Cuna and the elderly of Maris Stella, helping spread some joy all over the island!
Thank you Kiwanis’ volunteers for helping involve the elderly in the Caminata, even a few wheel chairs.
Emcee Ruben Garcia who is the Godfather of the Clown Doctors, kept the spirits high all the way, concluding the Caminata with a parking lot event at Flora Market featuring a Magic Frozen Moment, in honor of all sick people in the world, young and old. The Magic Frozen Moment wished them all well from
