Sunday afternoon the DJ spins his cool lounge tunes as the bar mixes award-winning tropical libations, and the focus at the resort is definitely on chillaxation. The water is cool, the sun is hot, and the scene around the beach and pool is sizzling. Sunday is the day to see and be seen at Pure Beach, Divi’s latest attraction in the form of a laid-back, stylish, bar, café and restaurant.
Pure Beach is graced with comfortable lounge chairs on a crescent of pure white sand. The free form giant pool has a swim up bar, with a sunken wing serving cocktails to swimmers in the water and to people-watchers in the lounge, dressed with comfy slip-covered furniture, low tables, and couches, you’d never want to leave.
We caught a bit of the total inactivity and great chillaxation on a recent Sunday visit. Apparently they do this every weekend from 3 to 9 p.m., and sometimes later into the night with the restaurant serving its delicious specialties to patrons still in their bathing suits!
