Celebrate the arrival of the Beaujolais Nouveau 2011

Since the mid-1980’s, wine lovers have enjoyed welcoming the arrival of the new Beaujolais Nouveau wines with grand parties, held traditionally on the third Thursday in November. This year, Casa Tua Barcelona will be upholding that tradition with a special celebration and French-themed menu, held tonight, March 17th, 2011.

In honor of the red wine’s French origin – it is made from Gamay grapes grown in the Beaujolais region in France – Casa Tua Barcelona has prepared a lovely French menu, consisting of classic dishes that are designed to pair perfectly with the young Beaujolais Nouveau wine.  Aside from the restaurant’s regular menu, guests will be able to choose from dishes such as the French Country Side Platter, which will offer up an array of carefully selected meats and cheeses, Beef Tartare, served with its classical accompaniments, Sautéed Mushrooms with French Bacon and Escargot, and a scrumptious French Onion Soup, topped with Emmental cheese.

In preparation for the special evening, owner David Nataf has been collecting old French vinyl records, which he will be spinning during the party, providing a true French ambiance for the fête.

Those interested in celebrating the arrival of this year’s batch of Beaujolais Nouveau wines are invited to visit Casa Tua Barcelona, located at the Aventura Mall in the heart of Oranjestad. Reservations can be made by calling 5885695.
