Oranjestad — A record number of guests, 560, hailing from Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, USA, and Israel converged on Aruba for a one-of-a-kind wedding celebration. The welcome night reception at Carpe Diem Restaurant on the waterfront in Oranjestad was a gift offered to the soon-to-be-wed by the bride’s uncles and aunts, directed by Laura and Max Waich.
Chef Avi Barak and his team from Rimonim Servicio de Catering Panama, which flew in on the occasion, took care of all special food needs for the duration of the group’s stay on the island, at the Ritz Carlton, and food at the Carpe Diem Restaurant reception consisted of traditional Jewish dishes, paired with the M-Series PSAGOT wine from the Judean Hills, in Israel, where each bottle is labeled with an antique coin found in the Winery’s barrel aging cave.
Event planner Lisi Korn Oksemberg, of Forever Events, assisted by Brittany Peitsmeyer recruited a famous DJ in Panama, who flew in especially for the party, and entertained guests to the wee-hours.
