Noord – Marilina Marcano Kuiperi, of the reservations department was honored at Caribbean Palm Village Resort as Employee of the 4th Quarter, and consequently Employee of the Year for 2014, in recognition of her outstanding performance and positive results. Marilina was presented with a handsome plaque by Interim General Manager Astrid Muller, during an informal award ceremony, in the courtyard adjacent to the resort’s Sweet Peppers restaurant over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a festive holiday dinner, many door prizes and dancing.
The award ceremony also lauded other 4th quarter nominees for the Employee of the Quarter title with Gregory Sanchez, maintenance, Rosalba Rasmijn, accounting, Carlos Henao, Pool, Agnes Rodriguez, Housekeeping and Evelyne Boekhoudt, front desk, among them.
A number of resort employees who distinguished themselves as shining stars this quarter with a mention, by name, on Trip Advisor were acknowledged for their positive interaction with guests among them Evelyne Boekhoudt, Deborah Rasmijn and Kenjah Howell, front desk, Mislady Fingal and Farley Croes, activities, and Sadia Futa, reservations.
Muller went on to explain that extra mile award recipients distinguished themselves by their loyal support and considerable efforts within their department, including Richard Webb, Jean Merisier and Clifford Tromp, maintenance, Carlos Henao, Rafael Ramirez and Edgar Bustillo, pool, Mislady Fingal activities, Deborah Rasmijn, Evelyn Boekhoudt, Donalisa Martis, Karel Irausquin, and Kenjah Howell, front desk, and Marilina Marcano Kuiperi, reservations. Award winners received a round of applause from their colleagues and special tokens of appreciation.
The award ceremony demonstrated the closely knit ties between employees and the spirit of mutual respect and cooperation, which was abundant on the occasion, charmingly emceed by Mislady Fingal and Farley Croes.
