Caribbean Palm Village Hosts a Yearend Award Ceremony and Party

Caribbean Palm Village Resort recently celebrated employee anniversaries, as well as nominees and winners for the Employee of the 4th Quarter Award, in addition to the Employee of the Year Award, flavored with Christmas food and music.

The gathering of staff and members of management at Scabeche Restaurant honored 60 years of hotel experience as shared by five staffers: Gina Tondu, Operations Manager and Mary Werleman, HR Manager, both concluding 15 years of service at the resort and Karel Yrausquin, night auditor, Hyacintho Henriques, and George Yrausquin, each celebrating 10 years of service.

Among the nominees for the Employee of the 4th Quarter Award were tireless Franklin Oduber, Maintenance, Jean Michel Philemon, Housekeeping , Meredith Wouters, Accounting, Deborah Rasmijn, Front Desk, and Sadia Futa, Reservations.

Franklin Oduber, outshone all other by his outstanding work, and he was rewarded by his peers with a great round of applause. The Extra Mile Award went to Kenyah Howell, Front Desk.

Front Desk star Debbie Rasmijn, won the Employee of the Year award. Debbie who works as a Night Auditor and a Front Desk Agent is always willing and ready to help, above and beyond the call of duty. Her efforts and dedication were rewarded as she received her coveted award, escorted by gifts from the General Manager and the Operations Manager.

The shining stars of the year, other recipients of honors were Sadia Futa, Reservations and Joalis Kelly, Housekeeping, lauded for their outstanding performance during 2011.

The party at Scabeche boasted a friendly, much-enjoyed ambiance, as staff and members of management experienced friendship, great food and beverages in the spirit of the season .

Board Treasurer Randolph Croes and General Manager Astrid Muller thanked everyone for their hard work, dedication and loyalty and extended their wishes for Happy Holidays and a successful 2012, to all party attendees.

Santa made an appearance at the end of the party, sharing many gifts as well as raffles and surprises.

The Caribbean Palm Village Resort boats 170 deluxe accommodations, set amidst lush tropical gardens. The resort is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
