The weekly Manager’s Cocktail Party at Caribbean Palm Village Resort is always a happy affair entertained by Farley Croes and Mislady Fingal the resort’s creative activities coordinators, who organize the entertaining event. The charming resort, located off the beaten track, in the Noord Neighborhood, also takes advantage of the festive opportunity to thank its long-time guests celebrating a quarter of a century at the resort, this year.
General Manager Astrid Muller and her dedicated staff, in addition to board members vacationing on the island in the winter season, usually perform the informal honoring ceremony thanking the guests for their support of the resort and for their loyalty to the island of Aruba.
Mr. and Mrs. Donovan travelling with Mr. and Mrs. Cacciatore have been coming to Aruba for 26 years, twenty-five of which to the Caribbean Palm Village. “We never regretted making that purchase, and have since also bought a time-share unit at the Divi Phoenix,” shares Mrs. Donovan. Mr. and Mrs. Shedd recall buying at the Caribbean Palm Village in 1986, on an impulse. They were standing at the bus stop at the then-Americana hotel and were approached by an OPC with an invitation to tour a new resort, paired with the promise of $50 in casino chip. Mrs. Shedd who was sun-burned that day decided to join the tour — she was not going to the beach that day, anyway, and the rest is history, they never regretted the purchase of their time share unit at Caribbean Palm Village and have come to the resort ever since. Mr. and Mrs. Cacciatore tell a similar story. Mrs. Cacciatore remembers the casino chip offer, a result of which, they having been coming here since 87. They now stay for a month and simply love the people they meet, a statement endorsed wholeheartedly by honoree Mrs. Eckardt, who bought her unit – it was a hole in the ground, she says, –from talented salesperson Tania Croes.
