Bold real estate is here

It’s a good story. Ten educated, accomplished women, most are mothers, band together to create a business, a good vibe real estate company.

Individually they all hold impressive resumes, a former bank-branch manager, a former bank commercial-manager, a hospitality executive, a restaurateur/entrepreneur, a social services consultant, a marketing specialist, a notary legal assistant. Together they have a vision to create a work place that would help fulfil dreams for clients and facilitate more time with their families, while still very present in the workplace.

I spoke to Jenniffer Figaroa Guzman about the new venture. She’s been in real estate for at least 10 years, starting her career with a course by Kenneth Faustin who was the ultimate guru of real estate on the island. While she always wanted to branch out on her own, she paid her dues at Remax, the Cove Condominiums, and Keller Williams, where she met experienced broker Aileen Kelly, of Gold Coast fame, and together the hatched a bold plan.

They are now part of the Dynamic Team of Ten Women in Bold Real Estate.

They checked into a new office at the Magdalena building across RBC bank on the boulevard, and you are invited to visit them there — they promise a drink or a coffee anytime to 9am to 5pm.

They handle residential & commercial real estate, land, condos, and long term rentals.

I personally have a friendship with Jenniffer, she was my helpful bank branch manager and before that, as a teen, a super-model for the Koma agency, where we crossed paths. She was a photographer’s favorite.

I wish Jenniffer, and that group of diverse women with unique backgrounds and skill sets, great success.

I am not crazy about the Bold name. Like calling a restaurant Excellent, or Best. I think we shouldn’t praise ourselves; we should let others do it.

As for the fact that Aruba’s real estate market is saturated, I agree, but it works if you work it. Those who are dedicated and work it, achieve excellent results, nurture long-term relationships with their clients who repeat and refer.

So, It Works, If You Work It, is a good philosophy in life, in spite of over-saturated markets and small inventories.

Jenniffer reports the real estate boom of 2021-22 when a great number of Americans and Canadians bought properties on the island has quieted down, but they are still buying, and locals do too. The compliance process is at times overwhelming, but the banks seem to be more flexible in the summer of 2023, and the economy in the US looking up.
