During his recent island visit Bill Marriott, legendary Chairman and CEO of Marriott International visited the Renaissance Resorts, in the heart of town.
He was warmly welcomed at the property by the Executive Committee and Eduardo de Veer, creator and owner of the Renaissance Marina Hotel and the Renaissance Ocean Suites as well as the adjacent shopping malls and casinos.
On his blog, Bill Marriott reports that: “At Marriott, we pride ourselves on our diverse ownership initiative where we work to develop hotels with companies owned and operated by diverse groups. We enjoy working with and learning from people from many cultures and work hard to be a very inclusive company.”
True to his philosophy as expressed in his writing, Bill Marriott was pleased to meet the Team of the Year, the top performers of the hotels and pose for a photo opportunity with Emmanuel Merveil, Steward, Leidy Munoz, Activities Counselor, Suzana Pasmino, Sous Chef and Selmar de Roo, Front Office Manager.
He was also extensively briefed by General Manager Paul Gielen, regarding the upcoming improvements and ongoing investments.
