Big Green Egg MasterChef Michel Lambermon, in Aruba

Fusion, the popular restaurant and wine bar at the Alhambra Casino & Shops, invites you for a food & wine event on October 22nd, with Masterchef Michel Lambermon.

Lambermon is a class act in the field of cooking. He was a standout from a very young age, earning the highest possible accolade for a professional chef, in the Netherlands.

He first became famous when he won the Golden Toque competition, a national professional culinary contest, and then he became even more famous when recruited to represent the Big Green Egg, in Europe.

“I discovered the Big Green Egg immediately after the first container of Eggs was unloaded in Europe in May 2002. A month later, at the Home & Garden Fair, in the Netherlands, I met the General Manager of Big Green Egg Europe, who was grilling a chicken on, naturally, a Big Green Egg. The aroma when the lid opened, the flavour, the juiciness of the chicken and the design of the Egg immediately won me over, and I joined the team, promoting this amazing cooking technology.”

The Big Green Egg is a source of inspiration to Lambermon, he does not see the Big Green Egg as a trend or a fad, but rather as a tradition with a golden future.

In Aruba, one of Fusion restaurant’s main attraction is the Big Green Egg that smokes, roasts, steams, bakes and grills favorites such as NY Dry Aged Sirloin Steak, Black Angus Tenderloin, New Zealand Rack of Lamb, Wagyu Beef Burgers, Prawns, and Salmon, all served with specialty sauces.

The restaurant’s dedicated chef, Urbine Donata, prepares most menu items exhibition style, selecting meats from the dry-ager, entrusting them to the Big Green Egg for the intense flavor, and extra juicy tenderness, that patrons deserve.

On October 22nd, Donata will be joined by Lambermon, 5:30 to 11pm, for a Wine Fest, Live Entertainment, Food & Fun.

ABOUT BIG GREEN EGG: It is a BBQ, but not a simple BBQ, it is a Kamado barbecue, made of ceramic that can be completely shut at the top and bottom. Because it is made of ceramic, it retains 100% of the heat, and that’s the big difference between cooking on an open BBQ and cooking in a Kamado, the double wall, high insulating capacity, works like an oven, but with the fantastic smoke aroma. The Kamado roasts, smokes, steams and even bakes pizzas or focaccia.
