EAGLE BEACH – The excitement is building for Iron Chef Aruba, the finale event of the Eat Local Restaurant Week, taking place this Thursday evening at the Alhambra Casino & Shops. Iron Chef Aruba challenges three of the island’s top chefs in a three-course mystery basket format, competing live in front of an audience of 140 guests.
Guests of the event will be enjoying a four-course meal prepared by the Divi Resorts culinary team under the direction of Executive Chef Gerard Coste, while enjoying wine paired with each course by the Iron Chef Aruba Junior Wine Sommelier competitors. Representing Pepia Est. is Jimmy Koopman. Arion Wine Company will be fielding Reinier Maduro, and Fernanda Jimenez represents Romar Trading. Wine expert Franz Sydow will be judging the competitors’ pairing creativity.
Prior to dinner, guests will enjoy a cocktail hour downstairs at Fusion Wine Bar, where the Iron Chef Bartenders’ Brawl will be contested.
