ART RULES ARUBA 20011 already a success, securing new partnerships and global recognition by MTV!

With its 30 scholarships to hand out, new Partnerships with Valero, Kiwanis Palm Beach and Maduro Travel and recent coverage by MTV.com, it is fair to state that Art Rules Aruba 2011 is growing by the day and getting recognition around the world.

Presented by RBC/RBTT Bank, Art Rules Aruba 2011 is growing by the day in all areas with not only new partners getting on board and international press coverage, the amount of applications is said to have reached over 150, and is still counting.

With classes in Dance, Theatre, Rap & Poetry, DJ, Photography, Fashion Design, Film, Painting and the special 25 year independence mural project, the program is being acknowledged as a worthy cause for the youth, inspiring people every where to join in and support the initiative and the development of Aruba’s up and coming artists.

As both RBTT and Valero confirmed to donate scholarships, Art Rules Aruba is now also able to offer the program to kids that want to participate but may not have to means to do so. Stating that, the two major companies who share the philosophy that “ the development, education and cultural expression for the youth is important for the island” are both giving kids with a passion for the Arts the opportunity to participate in Art Rules Aruba 2011 for free.

How to apply for a scholarship?

Producers for the program, The Pancake Gallery Foundation and partners are encouraging anyone who wants to join the program to go online and simply apply on the website www.artrulesaruba.com.

Students will be selected based on their motivation letter that has to be written and send in with the application form. The motivation letter can be written in English, Papiamento and Dutch and should also explain if and why the student is applying for a scholarship.

All scholarship that will be donated will cover the full program that includes:

The 1-week introduction and 2-week participation in the program, all class materials, bus transportation to the classes, beverages and snacks during the class and an Art Rules Aruba 2011 T-shirt.
