The Radisson Aruba Resort Casino & Spa entertained its colleagues at a recent Song Festival, an annual event, emceed by radio personality Ruben Garcia and the resort’s own Angelique Croes.
Click, under the baton of band-leader Jersey Sophia played back-up to nine resort associates, who undertook the challenge to participate in the song festival delivering their own renditions to popular hit songs.
Among song festival participants Albert Manuela of the Sunset Grille, Eugenille Perez de Marchena, of Human Resources, Lourdes Ridderstaat, of the Sunset grille, Michael Arendsz, of Security, Teresa Delgado of the Concierge, Roland Ridderstaat, of the Kitchen, Roque Martinez, of Engineering, Maria Medina, of Gilligan’s Beach Bar & Grill and Evelyn Tromp of Laundry & Uniform Room.
The competitors were judged by a professional jury made up of famous, local musicians and singers among them Edjean Semeleer, Rigo Oduber, Chendell Beaumont, Shurby Maria and Gloria Vega.
The festival was organized by Charlene Nectar, Employee Relations Committee Chairperson and her committee members. It was also accompanied by Danza Aruba, and miniteca Evolution for additional moves and tunes.
The festival, in the decorated Grand Caribbean Ballroom was nicely attended by resort employees who cheered for their favorites and who came in after work to enjoy the music and the camaraderie, also a fun raffle for gifts donated by many generous sponsors
