Abstract Dawn Spins a Memorable Friday at Mr Jazz

Mr Jazz Friday (8)Mr Jazz the popular Palm Beach Super Club entertained a big crowd this weekend. On Friday, Abstract Dawn with lovely vocalist Lucre Houtman mesmerized club-goers with a rich Electro Lounge sound, mixing Amy Winehouse with Bob Marley and delivering a Techno-Dance ambiance to an audience made of beautiful singles and romantic couples, which filled the dance floor all night.

Abstract Dawn packs a huge amount of talent, as Lucre the sexy, elegant singer was backed up by Martin Buitenweg on sizzling guitar, Jair Britten & Jose Houtman on flaming percussion, and Aruba’s most versatile arranger/composer, band leader Hildward Croes singing and playing his on-fire keyboard.

The band had as much fun as the audience at Mr Jazz and Lucre did not just sing, but really performed all lyrics, making them her own, interacting with dancers and musicians, and entertaining them with her special charm.

Abstract Dawn started this year as an electronic music project featuring the best musical talent combination on the island.

The band will return to Mr Jazz for another guest performance on a future Friday, during Dance Night, playing from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m.

A piece of steamy Havana awaits Jazz aficionados and fine food lovers, at Aruba’s first jazz club and steak house, Mr. Jazz, at Paso Herencia.

World-renowned Cuban jazz pianist, Chucho Valdes, is the mastermind behind this artistic venture that infuses the hearts and souls of Aruba’s guests and locals with live Dixieland, big band, contemporary, Latin, and Afro-Cuban jazz.

Manager Ruud Stoner brings his decades of entertainment experience to the club offering a unique Cuban-American menu with grade-A steaks, fresh seafood, and typical Cuban dishes.  Start your night with a refreshing mojito and cap it off with a little bit of salsa or a decadent Cuban cigar.  You are cordially invited to share Mr Jazz’s deep passion for food & music, any day of the week.

In October, Mr Jazz is introducing a different program each night, with a new Happy Hour nightly from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.; all drinks just $4.00, allowing patrons to enjoy the best mixed drinks and cocktails at a discount.Mr Jazz Friday (18)
