A Time for Action, at La Cabana

Weight Loss LCBRC (6)La Cabana Beach & Racquet Club recently started a weight loss program for resort associates aptly titled “Time for Action.”

This program was put together by the Health Club attendants focusing on ways to improve the health of their colleagues. A total of 20 participants signed up for the program, for the duration of 12 weeks, consisting of a complete workout at the Health Club, including the use of the sauna, the introduction of a special meal plan, Zumba classes,  and a formal conclusion in the form of an organized walk, or a Caminata in Papiamento.

By the end of the year, the 20 participants will be able to not only look good but also feel healthy!

In the same frame of mind, the resort recently organized a seminar with fitness guru Rene Wild designed to educate associates regarding eating habits, meal plans and, and general healthy nutrition facts. Wild discussed good and bad carbs, and paved the way for the weight loss program. At the end of his discourse participants of the weight loss program and associates from several departments enjoyed a healthy lunch put together by the Food & Beverage team.

For dessert, the icing the cake was Zumba instructor, Niurca de Cuba, who surprised everyone with a short but high-energy Zumba session.
