A Month-Long Contest Announced, In Honor of Children’s Day, at Benihana Japanese Steakhouse

Palm Beach — A recent press conference at Benihana Japanese Steakhouse at the South Beach Mall, announced an upcoming month-long contest and donation, benefitting the Clown Doctors Aruba

Restaurant Manager Morris Figaroa explains that on the 5th day of the 5th month in Japan, Children’s Day is celebrated. This festival used to be called Boy’s Day, but it is now a holiday celebrating all happy children thanking their parents for their excellent upbringing. Most people also take advantage of the day to pray for the health and happiness of kids worldwide.
This year in Aruba, the day will be commemorated with fun and games at the restaurant. However the whole month of April, leading to the month of May children are invited to participate in the incredible show put on by the restaurant’s chefs at every table, and every child will be asked to get involved in the Children Helping Children drawing contest, benefitting the Clown Doctors Aruba.
Children Helping Children invites kids to pick up a contest form, make a fantastic drawing on it, and hand it back to the restaurant. Benihana will donate $1 for every contest form handed in and one lucky, talented kid will be awarded dinner for eight family members of friends at Benihana, at the end of the contest on May 5th.
We look forward to celebrating with the local community and with our visitors, the entire month leading to May 5th, 2014, concludes Figaroa.
